Release Your Anger - Reclaim Your Power

Anger Release Session

Jennifer Lacher expressing anger during an emotional release session

Welcome to the Anger Release sessions, a supportive and empowering environment where you can safely explore and release your anger.
Anger is one of the most suppressed emotions in our society, especially for women. We were not taught how to deal with anger, instead we learnt to suppress it and be the "good girl/boy". Yet anger is essential for our emotional, physical & mental health, if we know how to deal with it.

Anger is a natural emotion, but when it becomes overwhelming or suppressed, it can harm your well-being and your relationships. A lot of us experienced shame around anger, this is why a group setting can be extremely healing.

The group sessions are designed to help you understand, manage, and transform your anger into feeling powerful and experience emotional balance.

Common concerns

It is completely normal to feel hesitant before joining an Anger Release group. Here are some of the doubts that often come up and why they do not have to hold you back.

Feeling ashamed of your anger

Many of us learnt that anger is wrong, especially as women. In this group, there is no judgment, only a shared understanding that anger is a natural emotion that deserves a healthy outlet.

Not wanting to scream in front of others

You are never forced to scream or do anything that feels unsafe. You decide your own pace and level of expression, and your boundaries are respected at all times.

Fear of feeling uncomfortable

Discomfort can be part of healing, but you will not be pushed beyond what you are ready for. The space is held so you can explore gently and return to regulation whenever you need.

Benefits of Anger Group Release

Emotional Insight:

Gain a deeper understanding of your anger and what its connected to.

Encountering Anger:

Get curious to encounter the force of anger within your body in a safe space, where you won’t be shamed for it.

Healthy Expression:

Learn how to express anger in a healthy and constructive manner.

Stress Reduction:

Experience relief from the physical and emotional tension associated with anger.

Improved Relationships:

Enhance your ability to understand and communicate healthy boundaries, which leads to better relationships.

Community Support:

As we often felt rejection as children regarding the expression of our anger, the group experience can be truly healing and encouraging.

What not to expect

While the Anger Release Group Sessions offer valuable support and strategies for managing and transforming anger, it is important to set realistic expectations.
Here’s what these sessions cannot provide:

Not a substitute for professional treatment

The group sessions are therapeutic and supportive, but are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological treatment. If you have severe anger issues or related mental health concerns, it is crucial to seek help from a licensed mental health professional.

Results take time and vary

Emotional healing and learning new coping mechanisms take time. While many participants experience significant improvements, results can vary from person to person and depend on your active participation and willingness to apply the strategies learned.

Not full privacy — it's a group

While it is important to me to maintain a confidential and respectful environment, group sessions inherently involve sharing experiences with others. Sharing is not mandatory and your boundaries will of course be respected, but if you have concerns about privacy, you may want to consider individual therapy sessions.
